Comedy Central: Klepper

Comedy Central’s Klepper

Invisibility in media, pop culture and society has dire consequences for Native communities. Comedian Jordan Klepper, host of Comedy Central’s Klepper meets with IllumiNative CEO Crystal Echo Hawk (Pawnee), Congresswoman Deb Haaland (Laguna Pueblo), artist Cannupa Luger (Mandan, Hidatsa, Arikara, Lakata) and other Native leaders, artists and activists across the country for a lesson in allyship. The research that IllumiNative’s Crystal Echo Hawk and Echo Hawk Consulting co-led, particularly the findings on the impact of invisibility by Dr. Stephanie Fryberg and Dr. Arianne Eason, helped to inspire the episode and Jordan Klepper’s candid and humorous journey across Indian Country.
